FDC has strategically located its 17 Forward Operating Stations (FOS) within regions that are amongst the most dangerous in the world, and where war, political unrest, unreliable communications infrastructure, lack of standardized procedures, bureaucracy, or ambivalence towards North America, is prevalent. Regional presence includes: North America, Caribbean, Central America, South America, Southcentral Asia, Southeastern Asia, Melanesia, Western Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Western Africa, North Africa, Middle Africa, and Eastern Africa.
